The proposed enlargement of Gatwick runways system SHOULD NOT proceed for the following reasons: 1. The quality of life and health of tens of thousands of local and regional residents will be adversely affected by the increased noise and decrease in air quality. 2. The "benefits" to Holiday Makers and the increase in profits to the owners of Gatwick Airport will be at the considerable cost and detriment to local and regional residents. It is a disgrace that this proposal has ever seen the light of day.
