The number of passengers will go from 45 million to 90 million - larger than Heathrow. Gatwick is surrounded by villages and countryside of outstanding beauty without the roads and infrastructure to service such an expansion. The flight path is currently a few miles south of my house and the noise pollution already starts in the early hours of the morning. If the new runway is allowed to go ahead the flight path will be over the villages like mine (Ockley) and will destroy the peace tranquility and quality of life which drew me to the area over 30 years ago. Since lockdown we have already experienced a marked increase of flights (some figures suggest +50%) - the noise is almost constant and the pollution is contributing to 5.5% of UK co2 emissions.) Surely the South East of England has more than enough and do the current foreign owners just want to get planning so they can sell on to the highest bidder. Please register my objection on the basis that pollution will increase by 50% affecting air, quality increased traffic and noise. Surrey is an area of outstanding natural beauty with small country lanes and wonderful countryside. Gatwick Airport sits in the midst of this and does not have the infrastructure to cope with increased demand . Please confirm that my objection has been received and acknowledged
