The introduction of a second runway at Gatwick will be horrendous for those of us who are close to the flightpath. There are already too many flights and in an age when we are all supposed to be significantly reducing CO2 levels and significantly cutting our fossil fuel use this is absolutely ridiculous to allow Gatwick to seriously exacerbate global warming in this way, not to mention the environmental noise exacerbation we would all have to endure.
