The reasons I'm against the Airport expansion are the obvious ones, pollution already at a high level will only increase if the runway expansion leads to added daily flights and continuous flying through the night. The actual building of the runway leads to further pollution via building dust and continuous diesel pollution from the numbers of contractors 8 wheel trucks that have already destroyed the roads from the building of the 2 new estates. We opposed and won the court case to change route 4 back to it's original flight path, but nothing was ever done about it as the airport said it wasn't possible to change it back, so now the planes route continuously over fly all the schools in Horley, imparting awful air quality to the children. The extra flights will only make this worse. Gatwick's continuous reporting of being carbon neutral is only further evidence that they are unable to tell the truth about anything.
