Living under what is very often Gatwick's flight path, with the noise of relatively low-flying airliners to contend with, I am acutely interested in any plans Gatwick might have to increase traffic in the skies above me. It is difficult to see why Gatwick needs to expand at all - or, indeed, why London as a whole needs more capacity. There are parts of the country that don't have anything like the access to air services that we have in the south east, that don't have the employment opportunities that London and its environs offer, and that represent much better use of air traffic investment funds than Gatwick does.
