The planning permission for a second runway at Gatwick has only just been turned down in favour of Heathrow. Increased flights would lead to increased noise and increased air pollution. The current road infrastructure is already stretched and we are told by the council there is no money for road repair now so this would only get worse. Emission off setting is just an manipulation of figures.
