The London to Brighton train services are already over packed. Increasing the capacity for air passengers at London Gatwick will only make this train strain worse. Unlike Heathrow (tube, bus from central) there are no other major connections from the capital and the majority of people will use the train. In addition, the frequency of noise from aircraft overhead will be increased and significant. This is supposed to be an AONB and conservation zone, which doesn't fit with an airport that is planned for significant expansion.
