I believe this will bring in many jobs, further destinations and enable gatwick to operate much more efficiently than it currently does. As long as the proposed plans are followed and the area of gatwick airport is not extended, i.e, we do not lose any of the beautiful gatwick ponds or riverside garden park, then I am for the plans. It is essential for gatwick to grow, the planes in use there are much quieter, more fuel effiecent, produce less carbon dioxcide/carbon monoxcide than the previous generations of aircraft, so this offsets some of the pollution worries. Currently with the amount of flights and people using Gatwick, it needs terminal expansion already, so gaining more terminals and increasing flow rate with the use of the second runway will allow Gatwick to become an excellent airport for the future.
