Aircraft travel directly over my property at a height of 2700’ to 3500’ (barometric). In the last year it is noticeable that the path they take has tightened with the vast majority now being directly overhead. This is having a significant affect on my quality of life. The prospect of increased numbers of aircraft is extremely depressing. The rasp of aircraft engines at circa 50db every few minutes is debilitating. This noticeable increase in traffic has probably devalued my property. Everyone who visits comments on the aircraft traffic and noise. The increase in CO2 emissions that would result must surely be environmentally irresponsible. Gatwick is already a big a contributor to pollution and increasing this to something like 5% of the UK’s total CO2 emissions shows a total disregard for targets to reduce pollution.
