I would like to register for my comments against the Gatwick expansion plans based on environmental pact including pollution, flooding, loss of green space and congestion. Also for damage to conservation area in which I live (Redacted) increase in aircraft noise Increase of strench of aviation fuel in the air and overall decline in air quality impact our health impact on climate change and local environment Increase of rogue parking in local area Destruction of local habitats for wildlife Damage to historic conservation areas in which we live Huge increase in traffic to the area Disruption to local area for years if this unnecessary development went ahead for construction Devaluing property prices of my home Extra pressure on local resources including emergency services affecting our wellbeing through increase in aircraft movements as regularly do not stick to flight paths Airport has had no consideration for Horley residents since they have introduced the drop-off fee which has made use of our local railway station impossible. Greed is leading their actions. And ultimatly we do not believe there needs to be an expansion and to build a second runway. We travel and use the facilities of the airport but we do not need more and that is the point here when we are meant to be being more environmentally conscious it goes against ever green agenda to expand. We can travel to the caribbean most days of the week... Do we really need it to be multiple times a day? No. Do we need more than 5 flights a day from LGW to AGP for example? No. The current airport services are already stretched and struggling with staffing and demand as it is, they could not survive an expansion. We strongly oppose this money making scheme at the detriment of the thousands of local residents and our planet.
