I strongly object to a second runway at Gatwick. I and my family live under the Timba stacking approach path to Gatwick. During the summer months, we are badly affected by aircraft noise almost on a daily basis. There seem to be more planes stacking at lower levels. We are finding the noise unbearable. I understand that the stacks have been in the same location since the 1960s. In fairness, we need a change in this system so we can have quiet days too. A second runway will only exacerbate this problem further. In addition, there seems to be many more night time flights, where myself and my family have been awoken by the noise levels. We are also very concerned about the state of our environment, having a second runway will only increase carbon emissions and create more ultra-fine pollutant particles. Furthermore, our infrastructure cannot cope with more vehicles and traffic, let alone underfunded schools and doctor's surgeries, if what is being proposed, that a second runway will bring more jobs. I believe that a second runway at Gatwick airport will become like a 'motorway' in our skies. For these reasons and many more other reasons not mentioned, I strongly object to a second runway at Gatwick.
