The relocation of the sewage works from its current location in Cowley Rd to the GREEN BELT between Feb Dutton and Horningsea. Firstly there is no need for the move as the current plant is future proof for another quarter century. To add insult to injury, this unnecessary move would te cost the tax payer £277 MILLION at a time when the nation’s finance are overstretched. The taxpayer would see no benefit for this ridiculous expense. Instead, the green belt would be broken and blighted, a rare and fragile Principal Chalk Aquifer - the source of local drinking water - would be severely threatened, and tons and tons of carbon would be released into the atmosphere during the Climate Crisis. In short this application is a disaster at a local, national, and global level.
