I am opposed to the proposed project, for the following reasons: 1) There is no operational need for it. 2) It will damage the Green Belt, including farmland and recreational areas. 3) It will adversely affect the tranquil village of Horningsea, bringing traffic and odour. 4) The sewage works is built over an aquifer, running the risk of polluting drinking water. 5) The effect of the relocation will be that more houses will be built (on the released land in Cambridge). The Cambridge area is already overcrowded and so the last thing we need is more people living here. 6) The project will have a huge carbon footprint. Thus I request the Examining Authority to give serious consideration to keeping the sewage works where it is.
