I am a young person ; I am concerned no developments actually help young people on the property ladder. I am a Key Worker and have no chance of obtaining a £350k mortgage for an affordable home. This application is a NSIP Project for housing but it will not assist Young People ; AGAIN !!! If you are going to approve think about Young People in your approval process. I am also disappointed about the use of GreenBelt land. We are losing so much land to developers in this area; what Green land is left is being over used. As a Young Person the Greenbelt is important. Please protect the Greenbelt for all; this includes dogs and wildlife not just humans. I am very disappointed by the Travel Plans for the construction and use of many roads in Waterbeach. The Car Dyke Junction is an accident spot; I am confused at no pedestrian deaths in the application due to the tragic events of a few years back. The Denny End Junction is the same; another accident area. Anglian Water don’t know why so many accidents happen in their summary. It mentions loads of new evening HGV deliveries. Bannold Rd is a mess due to other developers and the road noise is very high. CCC are looking to resurface; if you are going to approve can resurfacing of Bannold Rd be a condition before construction can start OR limit deliveries 08:00 to 18:00. The road noise would not be fair on residents; this should be considered in The Mental Health study; construction noise in Waterbeach. The Mental Health study was very poor and I don’t think it really covered Waterbeach. Please reject and ask Anglian Water to do a new Mental Health review. Mental Health is important. Anglian Water have not made it obvious where Footpaths are going to be disrupted. They mention Bannold Drove has no pedestrian walk way that is because CCC in other developments wanted it to stay as a walking country lane. I would like to mention the developer has not really made it easy for Waterbeach residents to understand the impacts on the village; for sure I cannot work it out. I would reject the application for not giving clear details in the consultation. The current location could be redeveloped with housing included being near a waste plant might make the housing affordable for Young People who are always forgotten. I appreciate Young People have a housing need; not at £350k but £100k-£120k. I would question the NSIP project reasons as Young People are not being a focus. Please say NO to development on the Greenbelt; and direct Anglian Water to develop the existing site; which can be reduced in size to still allow housing. Let’s get a good balance, Protect the Greenbelt and consider Young People low cost housing around a redeveloped current site.
