I strongly object to the sewage works relocation in Fen Ditton for the following reasons: 1) I recently moved to this area and I chose it because it is close to the conservation area of Fen Ditton, peaceful and calm and it allows me some lovely country walks and cycle rides. I believe moving these sewage works will have a huge impact on this area as regards the conservation of wildlife and will cause all sorts of construction traffic in this area. 2) Since the present Sewage Works are functioning well, and can continue to do so for many years ahead, I believe this move is entirely unnecessary. To even consider spending this amount of tax payers money on this move of only a mile, to me seems completely ludicrous and completely outrageous. 3) It seems that according to DEFRA there is a high risk of groundwater contamination which could affect the residents of Horningsea, who evidently still collect water from wells at times. This could of course be highly dangerous for everybody who lives there. 4) Another problem would be the odor that sometimes arises for residents. I would suggest keeping the plant where it is now and possibly sealing it to make it smell proof. I see this move as completely unnecessary and I would strongly suggest that this be re-thought
