I am concerned about the industrialisation of a green space that provides space for walking and recreation. It is the closest accessible countryside for one of the more deprived wards of Cambridge City. I am concerned that the main driver for moving the sewage farm appears to be to free up space for housing development close to Cambridge North. Building a new sewage treatment plant will carry a heavy carbon burden, and I think that it would be a more environmentally friendly option to work on upgrading the existing provision.
