Trinity College Cambridge ( TCC) is the principal owner and custodian of Cambridge Science Park (CSP) located to the west of the Milton Road Wastewater Treatment Works. TCC understands the need to deliver this Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project in order to deliver much needed homes and infrastructure for Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire. The views on the Area Action Plan process are a separate matter, but the outcome of the DCO process will have implications on the future direction of the Science Park and the role it plays in the Local Plan Strategy. TCC would highlight that the decommissioning phase of the project will have impacts on the operation of the park. The Construction Traffic Management Plan (APP-148) identifies that vehicles arriving and departing via the A14 will exit using Junction 33 routing via Milton Road and Cowley Road. It is noted within the Access and Traffic Regulation Order Plans (APP-021) that there is an intention to use road closures on the eastbound A14 and junction 33 slip roads which will impact upon occupiers of the Science Park who use Junction 33 to access their place of work. TCC would request that any road closures are communicated in advance of such activity and that a suitable alternative is provided to enable the Science Park to continue its daily activities.
