My parents live close to where Anglian Water want to relocate the sewage work. My objections are that it is unnecessary, and the cost of moving it could be spent on more vital projects required in and around Cambridge. The site where AW want to move the sewage works is Green Belt and should be protected. It’s important to preserve our Green Belt for an array of wildlife, and to allow people to get out and exercise locally for their physical and mental health. The action of potentially moving the sewage works would cause a massive (again unnecessary) increase in carbon footprint. Damage to the environment is being ignored, it’s time we thought about how the impact of such developments effects our environment now, and for future generations.
