There is an extremely high environmental cost associated with rebuilding of the sewage works, to only move it a relatively small distance away from the existing site. The current site could be brought up to a high standard and make it future proof and smell proof. Building on Green Belt goes against national and local planning policies. This project does not justify building on greenbelt land. This will have a significant impact on the wildlife and biodiversity of the local area, particularly nearby Quy Fen. This farmland should be kept for food production.
