Under no circumstances should this project be relocated to Honey Hill. The destruction of wildlife can never be replaced. For what? To make way for housing. If it does have to be moved surely, the disused MOD land at Waterbeach would be a better place. Not green belt and wildlife! The plant will be bigger than Horningsea and Fen Ditton put together. The map is not to scale and doesn’t even have Horningsea mentioned on it. If this 2040 program by the council is to waste money to move a perfectly operating waste station with room to improve and expand in its current location. To make way for housing is maddness. The cost of decommissioning the land and then asking people to live on that land is ludicrous, irresponsible, a health hazard and not economically viable. This should be scrapped and go back to basics.
